Coffeeground Cup
Food waste is a global problem and that’s what I want people to think about with this project. Coffee is an example of that. People all over the world drink coffee on a daily basis but they never think about the waste it produces. Only in the Netherlands, about 170.000 Kgs of coffee grounds are wasted every day.
For this project I have created a sustainable coffee cup and saucer made of coffee grounds to reduce the waste. I have also created two special coffee recipes based on citrus coffee cupping to create an sustainable multi-sensory coffee experience.
The concept and research book are printed on ecological paper made of agricultural waste.
